We are currently looking for a highly motivated Operations Manager to join our dedicated transport team, based in Williamstown Vic on a full-time basis.

Salary for this position can be negotiated based on experience. Hours will be approximately 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

This position will be primarily responsible for but not limited to:

• Day to Day running of our Operations in our Melbourne Depot.
• Allocation and coordination of customer pickups & deliveries.
• Allocation of driver's daily duties & work hours.
• Building relationships with our current customer base and ensuring a high level of service is maintained.
• Working closely with suppliers & Subcontractors Australia Wide.
• Working closely with management on all aspects of successful daily running of the Melbourne depot.
• Working closely with Tasmanian Operations staff to ensure clear communication between the two depots.
• Managing and working alongside warehouse staff & drivers to create a safe and productive work environment.
• Assist depot staff when needed to load/unload trailers or inbound deliveries.
• Coordinate with depot staff to ensure trailers are maximized in legal loading capacity.
• Accurate management of all paperwork in accordance with legislative and company requirements.
• Co-ordination and ability to arrange servicing and repairs to company vehicles.

We are seeking someone with experience in Operations or someone who has the ambition and is ready to step up from driving into this position. The successful candidate will also have the ability to not only work well within a team environment but also individually, with confidence, professionalism, great communication skills, and the ability to work with customers, suppliers & drivers. A forklift license and experience are a must have.

• Experience within a similar role, or someone who has initiative and ambition to learn the role
• Forklift license and experience is a must.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use Excel and Microsoft Office
• Someone who has attention to detail.
• Previous experience or understanding of COR, NHVAS, BFM and Mass Management compliance accreditation systems and regulatory requirements is a bonus but not a must.
