About the role
Thermawood Yarra is seeking an experienced Carpenter & or Joiner to join our team in Thornbury, VIC. This full-time role will involve a variety of carpentry, joinery, glazing, draft sealing and hardware installations.

What you'll be doing

• Retrofitting double glazing into existing joinery.
• Performing general carpentry & joinery tasks such as installing new joinery, timber window restoration and rot repairs.
• 99% of work is residential and working on Existing homes.
• Collaborating with other team members to provide the clients the highest standard of installations.
• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
• Undertaking quality control checks and making any necessary adjustments or repairs to window frames and sash’s.
• Ensuring installation standards exceed Australian standards (AS4666)

What we're looking for

• Completed carpentry or joiner apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Carpenter or Joiner in a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work from plans and specifications
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Current driver's licence, white card and reliable transportation.
