About the role

As a Baker for Bright Star foods, you will play a vital role in our thriving bakery located in the vibrant town of Kununurra, Western Australia. This full-time position offers the opportunity to showcase your passion for the culinary arts and contribute to the delivery of high-quality baked goods to our local community.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes and company standards
• Ensure consistency in product quality and presentation
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene protocols
• Assist in the development and testing of new recipes and product ideas
• Collaborate with the wider team to meet production targets and customer demands
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity

What we're looking for

• Formal training or qualifications in baking or a related culinary field or a willingness to learn
• Proven experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef, preferably in a commercial bakery
• Excellent knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality baked goods
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
