Synaco by Synergie are seeking skilled and experienced Advanced Riggers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely lifting, moving, and positioning heavy loads using cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment. We're looking for motivated professionals with strong technical skills, an eye for detail, and a commitment to safety.

Our client, located in the Northern Territory, offers a lifestyle-friendly 2:1 FIFO roster on an ongoing basis for the right candidates. Chartered flights are provided from Darwin, Cairns, or Brisbane, with interstate candidates responsible for their travel to one of these departure points. Onsite meals and accommodation are included. A site-specific pre-employment medical examination and drug and alcohol screening are required prior to mobilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex rigging tasks, including assembling and disassembling heavy lifting equipment.
• Assess loads, select appropriate rigging gear, and ensure secure attachment.
• Work closely with crane operators, engineers, and ground crew to execute lifts safely.
• Conduct pre-lift inspections, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain and inspect rigging equipment to ensure it meets safety regulations.
• Interpret lifting plans and technical drawings.
• Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in rigging and crane operations, preferably in a heavy construction, mining, or industrial setting.
• High Risk Work license for Advanced Rigging, EWP over 11m, Working at Heights ticket, Confined Space Entry ticket, and Manual Driver's license. CO, C6, and Dogging tickets are also advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of load calculations, rigging gear selection, and lifting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret lifting plans and engineering drawings.
• Excellent safety awareness and commitment to best practices.
• Ability to lift, stand for extended periods, and work in various conditions, including confined spaces, heights, and high heat.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
