This will suit a team orientated Senior Associate in Litigation and Dispute Resolution that has the experience to run their own files and enjoys working in a team. This group is made up of 10 including admin support and they are led by a genuinely positive Leader. Many have long-running tenures in the team and they would like to bring on a senior that can add to the collegiate and supportive culture that has been invested in by the Director.

Clients are varied across the SME spectrum in Queensland, taking in commercial business across finance, property developers, investors, various commercial businesses and contractors. As a litigation group they interact closely with large front-end commercial and property teams and the firm values their harmony and approach. The overall ethos of the group is to achieve efficient business outcomes and legal solutions for their clients.

Your day will be varied and you will be well resourced at the junior level to achieve what needs to be done. This will suit a team player and someone that enjoys ‘lifting juniors up’ and developing together as a group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in litigation matters across courts, including mediations and hearings.
• Handle a variety of disputes for various SME clients, including debt recovery, property matters and general commercial litigation.
• Collaborate with the broader team to manage diverse disputes, ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients.
• The ability to mentor downwards and a disposition conducive with intelligent and interpersonal client management

About You:

• 5+ years PQE in litigation and disputes, with exposure to areas such as insolvency, construction, or commercial disputes.
• Proven ability to manage files, including preparing for and attending mediations and hearings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commercial mindset.
• Collaborative and adaptable, thriving in a supportive and team-oriented environment.
• Due to the supportive and well managed team environment, this role is also open to someone seeking the four-day work week.
