The Royal Hotel Dungog has emerged over recent years as a leading destination for good food, boutique accommodation, great music and a comfortable place to relax with a beer or a wine. We’re located in an authentic heritage town on the trainline from Sydney and Newcastle, close to the Hunter Valley, and to trails, rivers and adventure. We’re a growing enterprise, getting busier with locals and visitors alike, so we’re looking for a Hotel Manager to bring our operations together and take us to the next level.

The Hotel Manager will lead a team of permanent and casual staff to strengthen our operations, and build great relationships between the staff, patrons, suppliers, and our community, under the direction of the hotel owners.

The successful candidate will

• Provide management of all operations – café, bar, dining, accommodation, entertainment - under the direction of the owners
• Build a strong team to deliver great customer outcomes
• Demonstrate an understanding of food and beverage trends in the hospitality industry
• Demonstrate an understanding of hotel accommodation management and systems; and bar business processes and systems.
• Work a range of shifts in front of house, behind the bar and food service as required, training other staff in best practices
• Manage budgets, rostering and timesheet approvals
• Foster cooperation within the team and across the hotel.
• Review operations for continual improvement
