About the Role
Are you passionate about shaping the future of Engineering? Join Charles Darwin University (CDU) as a Lecturer in Engineering and make a real impact!

In this role, you’ll bring your expertise in teaching and research to life by delivering dynamic and innovative education across undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate levels. You'll have the opportunity to design and develop cutting-edge curriculum, ensuring our programs stay ahead of industry trends—particularly in civil geotechnical engineering and road/infrastructure construction.

With a focus on engaging, flexible, and future-ready teaching methods, including on-campus, online, and blended learning, you'll help equip the next generation of engineers with the skills they need to succeed.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

  • A PhD in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in teaching, curriculum development, and assessment, particularly in civil geotechnical engineering and/or road/infrastructure construction and related areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver high-quality teaching experiences across a range of formats, including on-campus, online, and blended learning.
  • Strong record of research activity, including the ability to produce high-quality research outputs and secure external research funding.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively within academic teams and engage with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge and understanding of sustainable practices in teaching, research, and administration to align with university policies and initiatives
  • Experience in fostering industry relationships and collaborations to support research, curriculum relevance, and student employability.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Research Active Academic Level B. The base salary will be in the range of $112,710 to $133,262 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $131,870 to $155,916 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
