About the Opportunity
Western Sydney University is seeking a creative and strategic Communications Coordinator – Donor Experience to lead donor engagement initiatives that strengthen relationships and inspire philanthropic support.

As part of the Office of Advancement, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing donor stewardship programs, ensuring meaningful engagement with individuals and organisations who contribute to the University’s success. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until March 2030 and will be based at Western’s Parramatta South Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. Please review the position description for further information.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Annual Giving Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our donor engagement efforts. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing the University’s Donor Stewardship Matrix to ensure strategic and personalised donor engagement.
  • Implementing the Donor Communication and Engagement Strategy, delivering impactful updates, personalised communications, and engagement reports.
  • Overseeing donor events and engagement activities, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Creating high-quality marketing and promotional materials to support fundraising initiatives.
  • Maintaining the Office of Advancement’s social media platforms and digital presence to enhance donor visibility.
  • Utilising the Raiser’s Edge CRM system to track donor engagement and generate reports for leadership.
  • Supporting donor stewardship programs, ensuring an exceptional experience for our donors.

About You
You are a passionate and detail-oriented communications professional with a strong background in donor engagement, fundraising, or relationship management. Your ability to create compelling donor experiences through strategic communication will be key to your success.

You will have:

  • Proven experience in donor relations, fundraising, marketing, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to craft compelling donor content.
  • Strong organisational and project management abilities, ensuring timely execution of donor programs.
  • Experience in digital communications and social media management to enhance donor engagement.
  • Proficiency in donor databases, such as Raiser’s Edge, and other relevant IT systems.
  • A collaborative and strategic mindset, capable of working across teams to deliver donor-focused initiatives.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $124,203 to $133,967 p.a. (comprising Salary of $104,953 to $113,204 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
