About the role
Join our mission to transform patient care and operational excellence at Macquarie University Hospital. As a Test Analyst, you will ensure our innovative healthcare technologies and processes meet the hospital's high standards though the execution of test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high quality solutions.
Key areas of responsibilities:
- Test Execution - Execute test cases and scripts with precision based on established test plans, covering functional, non-functional, integration, and user acceptance testing for various healthcare IT solutions.
- Defect Identification and Reporting - Identify, document, and report defects and issues clearly using designated tools, collaborating with developers and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and verifying fixes.
- Collaboration and Communication - Partner with IT Health teams, developers, and business analysts to align on requirements, ensure robust testing, and share progress at project meetings.
- Communicate - Deliver clear, actionable testing insights, results and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Continuous Learning - Stay abreast of the latest tools, methodologies, and technological trends in healthcare IT.

About You
You will be a self-starting individual with excellent work organisation, time management skills and ability to work under pressure. You will have robust analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in executing test cases and documenting results being to collaborate with diverse teams and communicate findings clearing.
You will enjoy working in a dynamic environment, applying a methodical and consultative approach in your work, and be motivated to deliver work outputs that are of a consistently high quality.
Selection Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in software testing, preferably in healthcare or related environment.
- Proven knowledge and application of testing methodologies, techniques, and processes with demonstrated experience with test case design, execution and documentation.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience using a variety of tools used in testing such as Jira, Zephyr, Confluence, Tosca, SAHI Pro, Postman etc.
- Experience using Agile methodologies to enhance testing practices.
Desirable criteria
- Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
- Experience with testing EHR systems, clinical applications, and medical device integrations.
- Understanding of data privacy and security regulations in the healthcare context.
