About the role

As the Maintenance Officer at The Illawarra Turf Club Ltd, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the racecourse facilities. This full-time position is based in Kembla Grange, NSW, and is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities, from general upkeep to The Kembla Grange Racecourse Facility.

What you'll be doing

• Complete a range of tasks including , building repairs, equipment maintenance, and asset management
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to proactively identify and address issues
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand maintenance requirements and priorities
• Monitor budgets and manage resources to ensure cost-effective delivery of maintenance services
• Identify opportunities for improvements and implement new maintenance strategies
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience in a maintenance role, preferably within the trades or services industry
• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on skills across a range of maintenance disciplines
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work to budgets
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Relevant qualifications in a trades or facilities management discipline would be advantageous
