About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled insurance Legal Assistant to join the Brisbane team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will provide support to three lawyers, each specialising in a broad range of defendant insurance claims, including general insurance matters like public liability. The successful candidate will also receive plenty of support from other team Legal Assistants as well as Legal Coordinators in the Brisbane office. Key responsibilities include:

• File management, including opening and closing files, as well as both filing and e-filing
• Monthly billing and reporting
• Adhering to client service standards
• Drafting correspondence and preparing briefs
• Client liaison
• Diary and travel management, including booking appointments
• General legal assistant and secretarial support

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• Prior experience in handling defendant insurance litigation matters
• Proficiency in using precedent, billing, and file management systems
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
