Senior Mine Accountant - Hybrid FIFO Opportunity

A leading mining operation is seeking an experienced Senior Mine Accountant to join their on-site finance team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a metals miner and enjoy flexibility with a 5/2, 4/3 roster (part on-site, part remote).

What You'll Do:

• Oversee and manage all financial aspects of mining operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements.
• Partner closely with operational teams to provide financial advice and support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct variance analysis to track performance and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Manage tax compliance and coordination with external auditors.
• Mentor and lead two on-site Mine Accountants
• Drive process improvements and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems and controls.

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years' experience in accounting, including at least 3 years in the mining sector.
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field - CA/CPA preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge across financial reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, and tax compliance.
• Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with operational and leadership teams.
• Availability for on-site work at least 50% of the time, with the option to work remotely during 4/3 weeks.
