The company

CareerMode is thrilled to partner with a rapidly growing global mining powerhouse. As they continue to scale, they’re seeking a driven Senior Financial Accountant ready to step up. With a clear path to Finance Manager within 12 months, this is an incredible opportunity for an ambitious technical accountant eager to take the next leap. You'll start with financial reporting, then quickly expand into management accounting, business partnering, and financial analysis, all under the guidance of a high-calibre finance leadership team.

The role

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of preparing statutory financial statements, ensuring adherence to IFRS
• Manage and oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting requirements
• Maintain general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
• Coordinate external audits while reinforcing a strong financial control framework.
• Lead half-year and year-end financial close processes
• Ensure the implementation and maintenance of strong internal controls and governance practices

About you

This is a standout opportunity for a technically strong Senior Financial Accountant to step into a high-growth business with a clear path to Finance Manager. Ideally you are a technically strong financial accountant with 3+ years commercial experience working in a technical accounting position in a large complex business. You will hold CA/CPA qualifications, ideally having started your professional journey in Big 4 or a top tier-chartered accounting firm. Mining industry experience would be highly desirable for this position.
