Due to growth and, having completed a $1b acquisition in 2024, there is opportunity to join the group in a newly created Tax Accountant role.

About the Role

In this newly created Tax Accountant role, you will support the Tax Manager in managing tax reporting, compliance obligations, and tax-related accounting across the group. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing tax calculations, returns, and reports for Income Tax, GST, Payroll Tax, FBT, and Withholding Tax.
• Assisting with tax effect accounting, deferred tax, and tax reporting packs.
• Liaising with regulatory bodies such as the ATO and IRD.
• Managing tax portals and access requests.
• Supporting business income tax returns and audits.
• Identifying tax risk areas and suggesting process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CA or CPA qualification (or nearing completion).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in tax functions within a large organisation or professional services firm is highly regarded.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with OneSource tax software is a plus.
