About the role:
This is a warehouse-based production role and as a Supervisor, you will reflect the company's values in the way we do business. Drawing upon your knowledge of IT and technology, you will provide leadership and direction to you Team, plan and allocate duties, manage individual performance, and ensure your Team's effectiveness in delivering consistent levels of professional service at quality standards.
Working within our IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) team in our Villawood facility you will be a practical and hands on leader, who is dedicated to people management, process improvement, and working to complete ITAD processes and tasks to a high standard, in a timely manner.
You will bring the following to the role :
- Technical knowledge of IT (software) and related equipment (hardware)
- Demonstrated ability in organising and managing product movement through departments/warehouses
- Strong focus on internal and external customer service
- Experience of warehouse or production environment
- Forklift Licence an advantage, though not essential
You will need to be:
- Physically fit, able to lift and dismantle IT products
- Willing to undertake and receive a clear national police check (which will be organised by SK tes)
- Able to manage, support, train and motivate a Team
- An effective communicator - both verbal and written
- Able to demonstrate intermediate computer skills for data entry, excel, and reporting requirements
- A problem solver by nature
- A leader by example with good interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic
- Results-driven and hands-on
- Able to manage a busy workload with strong organisational, interpersonal and time management skills
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, development, and support to the team
- Being adept at both getting the work done with the team AND providing leadership and management at the same time
- Organise AND undertake daily activities involving the receipting, cataloging, data sanitation, and factory re-set of used IT assets
- Be able to plan and execute daily/ weekly production schedules
- Testing, diagnosing, repair, upgrading, refurbishment, and value recovery of high value IT equipment
- Maintain workflow by monitoring all steps of the process, observing control points, equipment, and monitoring personnel and resources to effectively achieve SK tes production targets.
- Provide supervision and technical knowledge to the team to ensure their skills are developed and enhanced
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and proper department operation
- Monitoring the health and safety of all stakeholders by promoting and adhering to safe work practices.
