The Company

This well-established global organisation has been a leader in the market for over 50 years, specialising in the manufacturing and distribution of high-quality products across several market segments. They are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to play a key role in driving profitable sales growth and providing exceptional service to our customers. This is a dynamic role that offers the chance to build and maintain strong relationships with major clients while working towards exceeding sales targets and contributing to the company's strategic objectives.

The Position

Reporting to the National Sales Operation Manager, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Develop and manage business plans for major customers with measurable objectives
  • Exceed gross sales revenue, margin, and ASP targets
  • Build in-depth knowledge of customers' needs, decision-makers, and sales drivers
  • Manage RMAs and warranty replacement orders
  • Deliver product training through presentations, in-store demonstrations, and site tours
  • Build strong customer relationships and resolve disputes effectively
  • Provide regular reporting on key business metrics and data analysis
  • Collaborate with both internal teams and external customers to drive sales success

The Candidate

The successful applicant must have experience in the retail industry, with a background in B2B, and demonstrate the following:

  • Proven experience in a sales role with a track record of meeting/exceeding targets
  • Strong understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and deliver tailored solutions
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel across the designated state
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use MS Office suite, including Excel

Hours are from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with occasional interstate travel required each month.
