Aged Care Services Department:

CO.AS.IT. Aged Care offers a variety of services to help individuals maintain their independence and wellbeing while living safely at home. With our support, clients are able to maintain their dignity with appropriate care catered to their diverse needs.

Role Overview:

We are seeking passionate and caring Aged Care Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality support services to clients so they can enjoy a safe and independent life in their own homes and community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting clients with domestic tasks, personal care, transport, meal preparation and other activities of daily living.
• Ensuring that client’s rights, cultural, spiritual and other individual needs are incorporated in all aspects of care and daily living.
• Working within a multidisciplinary team, provide effective household assistance, emotional support, care and companionship to clients, recognize changes in clients’ conditions and escalate observations and concerns in accordance with CO.AS.IT.’s policies and procedures.
• Promoting activities to clients and participating in activities with clients, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with clients, their relatives and friends.
• Adhering to CO.AS.IT.’s Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines
• Documenting accurate progress notes which detail activities performed within services and any concerns.

To best support our clients, we are looking for people with:

• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to adapt and respond effectively to the evolving needs of clients.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients and their families and be responsive to their needs.
• Excellent customer service skills where the clients’ best interests are the focus.
• Strong understanding of community care and a dedication to delivering high standards for clients and families.
• 3 + years of experience in Aged Care and/or Home Support.
• Certificate III (Aged Care OR Individual Support), OR Certificate IV (Disability) OR Bach (completed second-year study)/Dip of Nursing.
• Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Hold a current Food Safety certificate.
• Valid driver’s license and roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• Experience in a home care setting or providing domestic support is desirable.
• Right to work in Australia.
• Understanding of Italian culture or language (desirable, but not essential).
