Temporary full-time opportunity up until December 2027
The role is based in the Sydney metropolitan area, with flexible working arrangements available
Salary ranges from $145,378 to $168,130 p.a. plus super & annual leave loading
About the role
The department has embarked on a transformative Human Capital Management (HCM) Program, a multi-year, technology-enabled initiative aimed at simplifying, streamlining, and transforming key people management services across the organisation.
You will be responsible for the development and management of contract plans for HCM Program delivery partners (suppliers). Your focus will be on building and maintaining strategic supplier relationships, overseeing contract performance and proactively managing risks to ensure business outcomes are achieved. Key responsibilities include:
Designing strategies, and systems to enhance contract management efficiency and supplier relationships
Developing and executing Contract Management Plans with KPIs, risk management, performance monitoring
Leading negotiations on contract variations, renewals, and disputes to achieve favourable procurement outcomes.
Ensuring compliance with legislative changes to mitigate risks impacting procurement policies and supplier schemes.

About you
Ability to effectively establish and maintain strategic stakeholder and supplier relationships
Experience developing and managing contract management plans that focus on clear accountabilities, performance criteria and alignment to department's objectives
Demonstrated understanding of the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework and NSW Government Supplier Schemes for Professional Services and ICT Services
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
Knowledge of and commitment to the department's strategy, policies, processes and procedures.
Experience managing Tier 1 suppliers in large, complex business/ICT transformation programs.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
