Salary - Clerk Grade 11/12 $145,378 - $168,130pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager for the CHP Maintenance Unit, who will be responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to resolving maintenance-related enquiries for Community Housing Providers (CHPs). This pivotal role involves managing structural maintenance assessments, handling approvals for grant and development applications, and providing expert guidance on general maintenance enquiries for CHPs. You will be working closely with Homes NSW and CHPs to ensure efficient and timely resolution of matters.

As a Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead a team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement. You will provide strategic direction, manage resources, and drive a collaborative culture, all while maintaining high levels of accountability and achieving organisational goals.

What you'll do

The Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the unit. You will set clear objectives, optimise resources, and foster innovation within your team. The role requires you to ensure efficient service delivery, maintain accountability, and drive continuous improvement within the agency.

You will provide evidence-based expert advice and reports to the Director, ensuring all matters impacting current and future business decisions are considered and offer operational direction and leadership, cultivating an outcome-oriented culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and achievement.

You will manage budgets, resources, staffing, and projects to achieve organisational goals while ensuring staff are equipped with necessary skills and performance standards as well as oversee the Learning and Development budget and recruitment processes, prioritising work to ensure timely resolution of matters.

You will lead financial planning efforts to ensure effective management of resources and alignment with strategic objectives and ensure the cost-effective use of resources and the smooth operation of the business unit, providing guidance and support to staff.

What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience especially in relation to stakeholder engagement across the public and not for profit sectors.
  • A demonstrated commitment to building relationship with partners internal and external to an organisation.
  • Proven experience in the management of complex matters.
