Machine Operator – Sheet Metal Fabrication

About the Role

As a Machine Operator, you will be an essential part of the fabrication process, ensuring the efficient and precise operation of advanced machinery. Your expertise will help maintain exceptional product standards while supporting the team in meeting production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor machinery such as laser cutters, brake presses, and purlin machines.
• Set up equipment based on engineering drawings and job specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep machinery running at peak performance.
• Work collaboratively to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols.

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a Machine Operator in sheet metal fabrication.
• Sheet metal trade qualification (preferred but not required).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision.
• Problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced production setting.
• Reliable, with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Full Australian working rights (citizen or permanent resident).
• Ability to pass a functional medical assessment and drug & alcohol test.
