If you are an experienced Occupational Therapist seeking to develop further in your career, we have an excellent opportunity for you to join an established, leading practice providing tailored Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy Services in Sydney’s Inner West.
Inner West Paediatrics provide a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for our children of all ages. Our team of therapists are passionate in enabling children and their families to confidently and meaningfully engage with their community through targeted, personalised and community focused intervention and support.
Due to growth in our practice, we have opportunities for a new Team Lead to join our existing Team Leaders to coach and mentor a small team of up to 6 clinicians in their day-to-day operations and ensure the delivery of high quality clinical services to children and a positive experience for our families.

Your new role
- Provide clinical support, mentoring and coaching to the Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy teams
- Line management of all employment related and performance matters, including undertaking performance reviews and providing feedback and coaching for success
- Ensuring the team deliver high quality clinical services to children and their families
- Deliver clinical expertise and manage caseload alongside your team
- Assist with the intake process for all therapy clients including parent planning and allocations
- Develop and deliver training, projects and groups training provided by the clinical team to all stakeholders
- Facilitate and improve client experience by design, development and implementation of QI projects
- Proactive contribution to marketing goals in social media content creation
- Work closely with Clinical Lead and executive team on overall team/resourcing performance, provide reporting, contribute to audits and a commitment to continuous improvement
Ideally you’ll have:
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role in professional/healthcare services, or experience acting as Team Lead and demonstrating sound leadership qualities highly regarded
- An interest and/or experience in supervision, support and mentoring a team and facilitating a cohesive and collaborative team environment
- Experience in conducting assessments and proven skill in writing high quality individualised assessment and program reports
- Demonstrated experience and confidence in working with multiple technology systems including MS Office suite, client database, online training, timesheeting, using technology to claim work and record client hours (PMS) and access payroll and human resource information (Employment Hero).
- Excellent self time management to meet key priorities and administrative tasks
- High standards of ethical and professional behaviour with sound interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Knowledge of disabilities and proven skill in developing high quality individualised developmental programs within a family-centred framework
- Experience in the development of and/or the implementation of parent education programs or group service delivery highly regarded
- Commitment to continuous improvement of procedures, streamlining for efficiencies and collaborate effectively on these changes
It is a requirement of this role to undertake and hold a current NSW Working With Children Check, NDIS clearance and a driver's licence.
