About the role

The Making a Change (MAC) program provides Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Therapeutic Day Rehabilitation services to rural and regional communities, supporting individuals to reduce or cease harmful substance use and build healthier lifestyles.

We are seeking a dedicated Group Facilitator to join our team and support the delivery of the eight-week program in the Ballarat area. Facilitators will work in collaboration with the BCH AOD team and other services to meet participants' support needs.

Your work will not only support individuals in their personal journeys but will contribute to creating a stronger, healthier community.

What you will bring to the team:

Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a small, collaborative team environment, building positive working relationships with colleagues and other service providers.

Adaptability and Problem-Solving Skills: Being flexible and able to adapt to varying client needs, overcoming challenges to ensure participants receive the support they require.

Empathy and Compassion: A genuine commitment to helping individuals overcome substance use challenges, with a compassionate approach to guiding clients through their recovery journey.

Strong Communication Skills: The ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and external service providers, ensuring clear, compassionate, and supportive interactions.
