Job Overview:
Connect Electrical ACT is seeking a leading hand, licensed Electrician, to join our dynamic team in the Canberra region. In this role, you'll be responsible for running the job site while managing and mentoring tradesmen & apprentices. Additional to this, you’ll be able to showcase your experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a range of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering high-quality service to residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Job Description List:
1. Leading Hand Role
- Running projects from start to end while managing a team of people.
- Provide teaching and mentoring to apprentices.
- Creating high efficiency on the job site, managing material use & structuring labour hours strategically to reduce double handling.
- Bringing a motivated morale to the job site, contributing to good camaraderie and professional conduct.
2. Electrical System Installation
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, switch boards, lighting, and automation systems.
- Work with both general electrical and automation systems (Eg. Clipsal Cbus, Schneider, Control 4 & Wiser), ensuring compliance with relevant codes and safety standards.
- Install and connect electrical equipment such as switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, and other electrical appliances.
- Data and communications.

3. Troubleshooting and Maintenance
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in various systems and equipment (residential, commercial, or industrial settings).
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections on electrical installations to ensure systems are functioning correctly.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to wiring, connections, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
