Are you a proactive and results-driven project officer with a passion for community engagement and strategic planning? The City of Karratha is seeking a Development Services Project Officer to lead and deliver impactful programs and campaigns that make a real difference in our community.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Development Services, you’ll play a key role in developing and implementing projects that support responsible pet ownership, environmental sustainability, and community education. From assisting to design media campaigns to managing nature-based campsite operations, this role offers diverse and meaningful opportunities to influence city-wide initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• Project Management – Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and ensure successful outcomes.
• Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with community members, internal teams, and key partners to promote and implement initiatives.
• Campaign Development – Assist in creating educational and media campaigns that drive awareness and compliance with city regulations.
• Data & Reporting – Track program success, prepare reports, and identify future project opportunities.
• Grant Applications & Funding – Research and prepare grant applications to support community-focused initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in project planning and management, with an ability to juggle multiple initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and educate.
• A solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to assess challenges and implement effective strategies.
• Relevant qualifications or demonstrated experience in project management, community development, or a related field.
