Description

• Client Support: Act fast-provide critical advice on available recovery support and help people apply for grants that will make a life-changing difference.
• Trauma-Informed Care: Support individuals who have experienced devastating loss. Provide compassionate, sensitive care to those who are struggling in the aftermath of disaster.
• Customer Service Excellence: Provide high-quality, empathetic customer service to affected individuals, listening, guiding, and reassuring them through this difficult time.
• Community Liaison: Coordinate with NGOs, community partners, and local resources to ensure no one is left without help. This is about making connections and ensuring recovery services reach those who need them most.
• In-Person Support: This is not a desk job. You'll be out in the community, face-to-face with the people you are helping. Expect to be on the ground, providing hands-on, compassionate support at the recovery hubs.
• Adapt to Change: Things can change rapidly, and you'll need to be flexible, adaptable, and quick-thinking to respond to evolving needs.

Profile

• Emotional Resilience: This role requires you to stay calm under pressure, manage high-stress situations, and provide steady, compassionate support to people in emotional distress.
• Customer Service Skills: You'll be working with people who are vulnerable and in need of your help. Your communication and problem-solving skills will be vital.
• Flexibility & Adaptability: The situation is constantly changing, and you need to be able to think on your feet and shift your approach when needed.
• Team Player: Work closely with a collaborative team, community partners, and NGOs. Teamwork is essential to ensure the best outcomes for the community.

Job Offer

• $58p.h + super + overtime for weekend work
• Need to be available to work 5 days a week, roster will include weekend work
• Immediately available once it is safe to do so, start dates could be anytime from Sunday onwards pending gov advise
