Accounts Payable Officer – Bayswater

Aim Hire is seeking a diligent and motivated accounts payable officer to join our small and friendly finance team. The role is Part-Time working onsite at our Bayswater branch for 25 hours per week with the flexibility to work hours around personal commitments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the end to end function of the accounts payable and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of the supplier payments to support our 5 branches.

The Company

Aim Hire is a leading provider of temporary site services including portable toilets, temporary fencing and site offices to residential builders. We have contracts with many of the volume builders, medium density and boutique builders across Victoria. We have branches in Laverton, Bayswater, Geelong, Sale and Bendigo. We are a well-established hire company and have been operating across Victoria for over 40 years and offer job security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promptly and accurately verify, input and post accounts payable data and code expenses to ensure all costs are correctly posted
• Review and manage authorization of payments from relevant stakeholders
• Manage processing of reoccurring invoices and monitor for any anomalies
• Reconcile accounts payable ledger to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Manage supplier account relationships and liaise with stakeholders to resolve any billing issues
• Process urgent ad hoc and twice weekly payment runs to comply with supplier terms and issue remittance advice
• Securely maintain and update supplier data, terms and banking details
• Process and manage employee expense claims
• Work with in the finance team and support other functions as required

About You:

• Proven experience with minimum 2 years exposure to accounts payable function
• Strong organization skills with the ability to manage priorities and work to deadlines
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
• Intermediate level of computer skill including excel and previous experience with accounting software packages
• Happy to work autonomously and part of a team
