About the role:
The Senior Manager, Response and Recovery is a key leadership position, which plays a pivotal role in the ongoing success of our organisation. This is a full-time position, that is responsible for leading a team of professionals, developing and implementing a range of CNV’s family violence response services, and overseeing all Response and Recovery service delivery, to ensure it is delivered and consistent with CNV philosophies, frameworks and strategic objectives.

Program oversight includes:

  • Family Violence Case Management.
  • Men’s Behaviour Change programs and perpetrator case management.
  • Therapeutic Services.
  • Other family violence programs that engage broader systems such as the Risk Assessment Management panel, Personal Safety Initiative and Family Violence Child Protection Partnership.
  • Flexible brokerage oversight.
  • Housing sector programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Executive Manager, Programs and Services, and the management team, to achieve the organisational vision and strategic goals and to deliver quality services to the community.
  • Develop, co-ordinate and implement CNV family violence response services and oversee all Response and Recovery programs service delivery.
  • Engage with individuals and teams ensuring organisational accountabilities, standards, systems, and professional development of team members are met with a strong focus on quality and risk.
  • Lead with a keen focus on employee engagement, including leading activities that build a culture of high performance, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to facilitate ongoing professional development ensuring staff, particularly relevant leaders have the knowledge, skills, and support to perform at their best.
  • Support the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships that support positive outcomes for services users and the broader community.

To be considered for this role you will have the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in social work, psychology and/or a related behavioural sciences field.
  • At least five years’ experience in the community services sector or a related area including client service delivery and groupwork.
  • Extensive experience in managing staff in direct services and experience in leading and influencing others to achieve positive outcomes in service delivery and collaborative work environments.
  • An understanding of and support for the feminist philosophy of CNV.
  • Ability to clearly convey complex information, including concepts and ideas that influence and stimulate quality outcomes.
