Client is design and build construction company based in Brisbane’s southwestern suburbs. They are genuine success story in their sector being the go-to experts for the specialist work they do. As result of growth and a slight restructuring to their back office functions, they are looking to engage the services of an Office Manager / EA to work as part of the back office team. Helping to lead the function while also providing some executive assistant support to the MD and the senior leadership team.
Your new role
The company being design and construct has teams of ‘white’ collar, technical office-based engineering staff in addition to ‘blue’ collar site-based teams. Key to working cohesively in the role is being able to work across both teams. The role is a senior function, it requires supporting the MD with number tasks including
- Data collection, analysis and reporting on various topics for board reporting, including Ohs, enviro, carbon trade credit, labour cost, plant and local content.
- Authoring Policy and procedures on various streams including research and analysis of legislative requirements.
- Compliance and quality assurance.
- Tender support including managing the EOI's and tender submissions.
- Confidential, sensitive, high-level business support to the MD and Senior Managers
- Financial, asset management and human resources reporting and analysis
- Diary management, travel and accommodation, and meeting arrangements including company events
- HR support including reporting, compliance, EBA reporting, workcover, rehabilitation and return to work.
What you'll need to succeed
The client is looking for a reliable, sensible, hard-working, and self-motivated employee that takes a pride in their work and has good attention to detail. The role is designed to help drive efficiencies within the business and therefore needs a proactive problem solver that is able to work across a number of different business disciplines supporting the teams and adding real value.
The role is a senior level role and expected applicants have significant experience in similar roles. It offers genuine responsibility in a number of business streams and therefore needs someone who is motivated to develop their knowledge and expertise in a new area’s to support the business. Commercial intelligence and an understanding of risk are probably key.
The role is based in south-western suburbs of Brisbane. If people were based locally that would be a real advantage.
What you'll get in return
Client looking for an asap start for the suitable candidate. They are offering an interesting role and above market pay (suggest 90-120k plus super with some flexibility if required) to secure the best qualified and suitable candidate for the role.
The company is well managed and well established. They offer a mature and sensible environment, but worth noting the role is office based and has limited opportunity to work from home. Company has free parking and if based in Ipswich or western suburbs has a real work life balance in terms of avoiding the commute into the city.
