A highly motivated and experienced Project Officer primarily supports the project manager by managing day-to-day operations and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards, while assisting in lessons learned and continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain a strategic focus to support MBH’s short-term and long-term objectives.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating business risks and support project monitoring and control activities to achieve key outcomes.
- Support contract and consultant administration to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Assist in resource planning and coordination to optimise project execution.
- Liaise with governments, regulatory bodies, consultants, and corporations to support key project deliverables.
- Assist in developing and maintaining MBH systems and processes.
- Organise and coordinate project meetings to review status, contractual matters, programming, coordination, quality, and safety.
- Ensure adherence to MBH policies and procedures in project-related activities.
- Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating training for personnel on MBH systems, quality, and business requirements.
- Support a productive and safe work environment while contributing to seamless project delivery.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to senior management.
- Represent MBH professionally in all engagements.
Qualifications and/or Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in project management and engineering and/or field experience.
- Experience in renewable energy generation and/or transmission and network fields OR
- Preferable experience in the development approval process (Qld or SA) with a focus on renewable energy facilities
- Accreditation with the Australian Institute of Project Management as a Certified Project Manager is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management tools and software, such as: Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with tools like PSCAD, PSS/E and DSA Power Tools.
- Experience with PDS Australia is desirable.
