Head of Commercial
NSW Farmers is looking for an influential leader to step into the role of Head of Commercial, driving sustainable revenue growth and cultivating high-value partnerships that align with our Strategic and Operational Plans. This pivotal role is responsible for optimising existing services, developing innovative products, and managing a portfolio of commercial relationships while ensuring compliance with contractual and legal obligations.

NSW Farmers is the leading representative voice of farmers in NSW. We advocate to business and government to ensure the best possible results for farmers, rural and regional communities. We work closely with stakeholders to provide support for our members and the farming sector more broadly.
About the Role - Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute strategies for revenue generation through partnerships, sponsorships, and new business opportunities.
• Improve existing products and create new commercial solutions that deliver industry and member value.
• Use market analysis to refine strategies, track performance, and drive informed decision-making.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of key initiatives and projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Commercial Partners, ensuring governance, legal, and risk management standards are met.
• Provide visionary leadership, empower teams, and foster a culture of excellence.
• Represent NSW Farmers at industry events and build influential external partnerships.
About You:
We are looking for a commercially savvy leader with:
• Proven experience in building, negotiating and maintaining high-value corporate relationships.
• Strong understanding of revenue generation, financial management, and risk mitigation.
• Successful track record in identifying, developing, and executing new commercial opportunities.
• Expertise in overseeing commercial projects, contracts, and ensuring compliance with legal obligations.
• Ability to interpret market trends, performance metrics, and insights to drive informed decision-making.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills to influence internal and external stakeholders.
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Agriculture, Law, Economics, or Science, while not essential, will be highly regarded.
