Wages $50-55 per hour plus penalty rates on all overtime
Full-time permanent position
$10,000 government relocation scheme available for interstate & NZ candidates
The Company
West Australian Alternative Energy is a specialist provider of high quality commercial solar energy systems. We are a New Energy Tech approved solar retailer who delivers renewable energy solutions to commercial businesses throughout Western Australia.
We are conveniently located in Cockburn Central.
The Role
We are currently seeking a fully qualified Electrician. You will be installing solar PV systems on commercial sites throughout the Perth region. Although CEC accreditation is highly desirable, this role would also suit someone with an interest in working towards attaining their solar accreditation. You will be working in a team environment where you will be responsible for leading the team using your effective people skills. You will work alongside and supervise apprentices and trade assistants on Commercial PV systems. Experience as an electrician on commercial projects is essential. Work in remote locations is standard practice at WAAE and working away from home will be required at different points of the calendar year.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Installation of solar PV systems for residential and commercial projects.
- Wiring Ground Mounted and Rooftop Solar Systems
- Electrical wiring withincommercial switchboards
- Mounting solar panels to racking.
- Battery system installations
- Upgrading pre-existing solar PV systems
- Fault finding/diagnosis of solar PV system issues and problem solving
- Maintenance of solar PV systems and completing reports
- Undertaking site inspections
- Dealing in a professional manner with clients and customers.
- Leading a team to complete projects

Experience and Qualifications- Essential
- A Grade Electrical License
- Working at Heights Certificate
- Construction induction (White card)
- Current Driver’s license
- First Aid
Experience and Qualifications- Desirable
- Previous solar installation experience
- CEC Install and Design accreditation
- Police clearance (provide as required)
- EWP
