Educational Coordinator

The Educational Coordinator will be responsible for the daily operations of our OOSH service, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children. This role will foster strong relationships with families, staff, and the school community.

This full-time role is for 35 hours per week. Shifts are -

  • School Terms: Monday to Friday, 6:30am-9:00am & 2:30pm-6:30pm.
  • School Holidays: Varying shifts between 7:00am-6:00pm.
  • 2.5 hours Administration time which can be completed flexibly from home (included in the 35 hour working week).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a small team of passionate educators, fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Create a safe, engaging environment where children feel supported and encouraged to thrive.
  • Build strong relationships with families, the school, and the wider community.
  • Oversee programming and activities to align with children’s interests and developmental needs.
  • Oversee rostering, training, and daily operations to ensure a smooth-running service.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children is preferred (OOSH, early childhood, teaching, youth work, or related fields).
  • Transferable workforce skills or experience are also welcomed (customer service, administration, event management or anyone looking for a career change!)
  • Leadership skills and the ability to manage a small team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A basic understanding of safety, compliance, and child protection requirements (or willingness to learn).
  • A NSW Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain).
  • Current First Aid & Child Protection Training (or ability to obtain).

A salary of $70,000 - $75,000 is being offered for this role, PLUS a $1,000 sign-on bonus!

Educators

As an Educator, you will have the opportunity to work casual/part-time shifts and will be responsible for providing a supportive environment, interacting with children in educational and recreational activities, and fostering their developmental needs.

Successful candidates could work up to 32.5 hours per week throughout the school term and up to 38 hours per week in school holiday periods.

  • School Terms: Monday to Friday, 6:30am-9:00am & 2:30pm-6:30pm.
  • School Holidays: Varying shifts between 7:00am-6:00pm.

* Flexibility around hours and shifts each week can be provided.

Hourly rates will vary depending on age and prior qualifications - approx. $30-$40 per hour plus allowances.
