About the role

We are seeking a skilled Abrasive Blaster & Industrial Painter to join our team at Burdekin Blast & Paint in Ayr, Queensland. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in our operations.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing surfaces by abrasive blasting to specified standards
• Applying high-performance industrial coatings and protective linings using specialised spray equipment
• Ensuring work is completed to a high standard, meeting all quality and safety requirements
• Maintaining and troubleshooting blasting and painting equipment
• Collaborating with the wider team to deliver projects on time and on budget
• Some liaising with customers
• Some mine site work will also be required at a higher pay rate

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as an abrasive blaster and industrial painter, ideally in the trades and services industry
• Excellent knowledge of surface preparation techniques and application of industrial coatings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour tasks
• The following are an advantage but not essential.

• Cert III in Surface Preparation & Coating Application
• EWP
• Working at Heights
• Confined Space
• Forklift
