Aged Care Chef/Cook

Sunday and Monday 9am - 6pm

We are seeking a skilled & experienced Chef/Cook to join our dedicated team.

This role will require the successful applicant to -

Prepare and present nutritious meals and desserts that cater to the specific dietary needs and preferences of residents as per the four week rotating menu,

Maintain hygiene standards and adhere to OH&S procedures and the Food Safety Program, including proper food handling, storage and record keeping,

Liaise with Residents, Nursing Staff and all Stakeholders to provide individualized meal and snack choices,

Oversee the kitchen team, assigning tasks and ensuring smooth daily operations of the kitchen and dining experience.

The successful applicants MUST have;

• 5+ years Aged Care experience;
• Minimum of Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or Equivalent;
• Food Safety Supervisor - Aged Care Certificate;
• Knowledge of the IDDSI and requirements of texture modified food and fluids;
• Current police check;
• Vaccination certificate;
• Great time management skills and the ability to oversee a supportive team of Food Services Assistants.
