Concrete Industry - Must have Concrete Experience

My Client is a family-owned business based on the Central Coast, specialising in the supply and distribution of high-quality concrete and cement products. We pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with our clients and providing exceptional service. We are looking for a motivated individual with a background in the cement industry, a cadet with civil engineering degree ,who is eager to take on a sales-driven role and contribute to our growth and success.

Position Overview:
As a Concrete Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales and growth of our business. This position is ideal for someone with a technical background in concrete or construction materials who is eager to apply their knowledge in a sales environment. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with clients, and ensuring the successful sales and delivery of our concrete and cement products. Your expertise will be critical in providing accurate product recommendations and solutions to our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new sales opportunities in the concrete and cement industry, with a focus on expanding our customer base across the Central Coast region and beyond.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction that leads to repeat business and referrals.
  • Technical Sales Support: Utilise your technical knowledge to provide expert advice to clients on product specifications, applications, and project needs. Tailor solutions based on project requirements, ensuring client satisfaction and technical accuracy.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and technological advancements in concrete and cement, ensuring you can offer the best solutions to clients.
  • Sales Strategy & Reporting: Meet or exceed sales targets by tracking performance, identifying growth opportunities, and adjusting strategies as necessary. Provide regular updates and reports to management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth order fulfilment, timely product delivery, and seamless customer service.
  • Market Expansion: Develop and execute strategies to tap into new markets, identify potential clients, and increase the company’s market share in the region.

Key Requirements:

  • Background in Civil Engineering, Cement Industry, or Technical Field: Experience as a civil engineering cadet, or in the cement/concrete industries, with a solid understanding of concrete products and their applications.
  • Sales Drive: Strong interest in transitioning into a sales role, with a passion for business development, client engagement, and achieving sales targets.
  • Technical Knowledge: Ability to understand and explain the technical aspects of concrete and cement products clearly to clients, ensuring the best fit for their projects.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport, influence decisions, and close sales effectively.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritise tasks, and handle multiple client accounts simultaneously.
