About the company:

A private co-educational Anglican school in Ringwood, Melbourne, with a proud history since 1966. Our Parks and Gardens team maintains the school's beautiful grounds, creating a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

About the role:

This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in:

• Assist with the upkeep of gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas, including tasks like planting, pruning, weeding, mowing, and hedge trimming.
• Learn to safely operate and maintain gardening tools, machinery, and irrigation systems while following safe work practices.
• Work alongside supervisors to implement landscaping projects and prepare outdoor spaces for school events.
• Gain hands-on experience and formal training in plant care, soil management, pest control, and sustainable gardening practices as part of your apprenticeship program.
• Help maintain the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the school grounds to ensure a well-presented and safe environment for students and staff.

What we're looking for:

• Passion for horticulture, parks, and gardens maintenance, with a willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Understanding of workplace safety, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work in all weather conditions.
• A valid driver's license and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
