Beachwood Early Learning and Kindergarten is a family owned and operated centre. We are creating something unique for our community and are looking for passionate early childhood educators who want to join us in something truly special!
Having opened in January 2022, our ACECQA rated Exceeding service is a 100 place purpose built centre and is open from 6:30am-6:30pm, Monday to Friday. Beachwood boasts 6 early childhood rooms catering for children from 6 weeks to 5 years. Our rooms are light and bright and include a nursery community with a separate sleep room, accessible kitchenette and beautiful outdoor environment to inspire curiosity and wonder. Our Toddler community is made up of our, Toddler and Pre-Kinder room with a separate kitchenette and large outdoor place space filled with a variety of challenges and a natural environment. Our seperate 3 and 4 year-old kindergarten community are Government recognised and funded 22 place kindergarten classrooms each with their own teaching teams, gorgeous outdoor learning place space equipped with slides, large fort, swings and so much more to do and explore!

We adopt a play-based approach to learning with authentic learning experiences. Our beautiful location is surrounded by nature in the Woodlands area on Humphries Road, Frankston South. Our play based and community focused curriculum means that children will be supported to experience their local community through participation in excursions and incursions. All rooms incorporate and include and out and about program and our Kindergarten program includes ‘Bush Kinder’.
About the role!
We are recruiting experienced, passionate and inspiring diploma qualified (or higher) room leader to co lead our Toddler 1 community (children aged 1-2 years) in a full time position.
You will be an inspiring educator who leads and supports your team to create warm and inclusive environments for children and for each other! We are looking for educators who are passionate about their role working with young children and who put enthusiasm into play and intentional teaching moments. You will have a strong desire to build trusting and nurturing relationships with the children and collaborative, professional relationships with families, our team and our community.

Our centre support teams, including centre leadership are made up of experienced and passionate early childhood professionals who have held a variety of positions within the early childhood profession. In addition to a strong centre leadership team we also have 2 ‘off the floor’ ECT's who support our team by delivering pedagogical leadership, reflection circles and so much more!
Skills and experience
- Have experience leading a room in the early childhood profession.
- Support an environment that fosters the children's well-being and a sense of belonging.
- Ability to respond to the interests, strengths, and needs of individual children.
- Ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive learning culture within the centre for children, families and team.
- Support the development of quality play based learning experiences and environments varying individual needs within the environment.
- Practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work autonomously and part as a team.
- Hold a Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent (or working towards).
- Current First Aid Certificate/Asthma/Anaphylaxis /CPR certificates (desired).
- Current Working with Children Check.
