WHAT YOU WILL DO ON A DAILY BASIS

• They are looking for a Warehouse Officer, to commence ASAP, as a temporary casual, full-time hours, (8-30am to 4-30-5pm). Ideally you will live within 20kms or so from the north shore of Sydney which is where they are based.
• The main objective of this role is to provide logistics & warehouse support to internal and external customers and to be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse.
• Manage the pick, pack, despatch process in accordance with company guidelines for cost and timing (there is some heavy lifting required).
• Ship internal orders and ensure all warehouse documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process transactions for shipping, receiving, and confirming all outgoing orders, as well as the shipping documentation required on freight carrier software.
• Regular and safe operation of the gas forklift and electric forklift to load and unload truck deliveries and store and retrieve goods within the warehouse itself.
• Process received goods by checking against purchase orders and supplier’s shipment paperwork, creating goods receivable notes, identifying any discrepancies, and forwarding these notes and any associated shipment paperwork to the head office purchasing department for review.
• Receive and reconcile documentation on stock movements; ensure system accurately reflects where inventory is stored in the warehouse at all times.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR TO GET THE JOB

• If you have warehouse experience, can commence in the next week or two, and you are a quick learner, we would like to talk to you asap. You MUST have full working rights for Australia and excellent English communication skills.
• This is an opportunity for someone who has experience working in a warehouse, with a can-do attitude, with nothing being too much trouble.
• You must be a team player, enjoy collaborating with others, be good at taking direction and feedback for your own development and learning.
• Knowledge of warehousing principles with good administrative skills.
• Awareness of relevant workplace health and safety obligations and manual handling procedures with a current forklift licence and be confident driving a forklift.
