Agro Invest Overseas Ltd are seeking an experienced full-time, Veterinary Nurse/Technician/Equine Breeding to join our team at Garangula Polo, Black River Farm, Back Jugiong Road, Harden NSW 2587.

Veterinary Nurse/Vet Technician

Duties will include:

• Breeding - assist with all breeding, working closely withthe Stud Manager and the Breeding Vet to ensure that all breeding work is carriedout safely and efficiently.
• Foaling - assist with the foaling down of all pregnant mares.
• Foal Watch during foaling season
• Monitor mare ovulation, pregnancy and newly foaled mares and assisting Veterinarian with scanning mares using ultrasound.
• Stallion Handling - assist with stallion handlingand semen collection.
• Weaning and handling programs to include regular handling of foals, trimming, drenching and vaccinating.
• Assist Veterinarians with visits as necessary.
• Transport horses to veterinarian when required.

Essential Criteria

A relevant Certificate or higher qualification or equivalent international qualification, or in the absence of a qualification a minimum of three years professional experience

• A minimum of at least two years’ professional equine veterinary experience is required

The salary range will be between $70,340 and $75,000 and will be commensurate with your skills and years of experience. On farm accommodation may also be available.
