Pastry Chef – Fleur de Mizu
Restaurant Fleur de Mizu is seeking a Pastry Chef to join our team and craft refined desserts that embody the harmony of French technique and Japanese precision.
Located in Northbridge, NSW, Fleur de Mizu is a modern dining destination founded by the team previously behind Sous le Soleil (awarded french restaurant). We are known for our seasonal menus, warm hospitality, and beautifull ambience showcasing Australia’s finest artisanal producers with French and Japanese flair
About the Role
We are looking for a pastry chef to drive creativity and deliver elegant, high-quality desserts that complement our fusion of flavours. You will work in a small but dynamic team, collaborating closely with our Executive Chef, Young Choi, to refine and elevate our dessert offerings.

Key responsibilities
• Prep in accordance with specific recipes and menus.
• Ensuring high level of quality and presentation is achieved at all times.
• We will provide you with training.
• Collaborate with Head Chef in developing the menu and creating new recipes.
• Ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and tidy, pots and pans cleaned at all times.
• Provide a safe working environment in the kitchen and back of house areas.
• Accepting deliveries and checking invoices, weight and dates of product.
• Make sure everything you prep during the day is put away tidy and date.
• Work with other pastry chefs.
• To act in accordance with the Company’s Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Workplace, Health & Safety and Quality Assurance programs and guideline.
Working conditions
• Full time role, howerver open to part time & casual for the right candidate.
• Ideally the hours are 10am to 4pm on day shift (Sat & Sunday), 2pm to 11pm on night shift (Wed to Saturday).
• 2 consecutive days off a week.
• 38h to 45h per week to work.

The ideal candidate
- 2+ years’ experience in a pastry chef role.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive, can-do attitude.
- Shows initiative with a common sense approach.
- Attention to detail.
- Productive and organised in your section.
- Good communicator.
