We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production & Operations Manager to lead our team, oversee local and offshore production, and drive efficiency, quality, and seamless supply chain management.

Job Overview:

The Production & Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, logistics, and supply chain functions. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in garment production, and the ability to streamline operations to meet customer demands while maintaining cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will ensure that manufacturing runs smoothly, quality standards are met, and logistics operations are optimized for timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Management

  • Oversea and manage production schedules to ensure timely fulfillment of custom uniform orders.
  • Coordinate with sales, design, and production teams to prioritize orders based on deadlines and complexity.
  • Optimize workflows to enhance efficiency, minimize bottlenecks, and improve turnaround times.
  • Oversee day-to-day production activities, ensuring efficiencies & productivity.

Supply Chain & Inventory Management

  • Procure high-quality materials (fabrics, trims, embroidery threads, etc.) at cost-effective rates.
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
  • Develop strong supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Ensure efficient inventory control systems, such as Just-In-Time (JIT), to optimize material usage.

Logistics & Distribution Management

  • Oversee the entire logistics process, ensuring seamless movement of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Oversee warehousing, shipping, and distribution operations to ensure timely deliveries to customers.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to optimize shipping routes and reduce costs.
  • Track shipments, resolve transportation issues, and ensure on-time order fulfillment.

Team Leadership & Workforce Management

  • Lead and manage production teams, including pattern room department, and warehouse personal.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and conduct evaluations to ensure productivity and efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement within the relevant teams.

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Oversee strict quality control procedures to ensure uniforms meet client specifications and industry standards.
  • Oversee and ensure audits and inspections at various production stages are completed according lee to identify and resolve defects or inconsistencies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and manufacturing best practices.

Process Improvement & Cost Control

  • Analyse production data to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
  • Lead cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
  • Evaluate new technologies, automation, and lean manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity.

Customer Satisfaction & Order Fulfillment

  • Ensure all orders are completed accurately, packaged correctly, and shipped on time.
  • Oversee any production-related customer issues, ensuring prompt resolution and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with sales and production team to manage expectations and provide updates on weekly production meeting.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Production/Operations Manager in apparel manufacturing or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of garment production, logistics, supply chain management, and quality control.
  • Experience in inventory management, procurement, and logistics coordination.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems is a plus.
  • Advance Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and compliance standards.
