JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement highly scalable and performant Java-based applications using Spring Boot.
• Work with Kafka to implement and manage event-driven architectures.
• Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs for seamless communication between systems.
• Write complex SQL queries and ensure high-performance database interactions.
• Leverage AWS services such as S3, RDS, and CloudWatch to optimize backend systems.
• Experience in working with distributed systems ensuring reliability and availability.
• Use Docker and Kubernetes (K8S) to containerize, deploy, and manage applications efficiently.
• Implement security best practices, including the use of Public/Private Key encryption, X509 certificates, and mTLS for secure communication.
• Work with DevOps, infrastructure, and front-end teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment pipelines.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers to elevate the overall technical capability of the team.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot for backend development.
• Proficiency in Kafka for building scalable, event-driven systems.
• Expertise in integrations including RESTful API design and implementation.
• Strong understanding of SQL for managing and optimizing database interactions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Practical experience working in distributed systems and understanding their complexities.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes (K8S).
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Strong focus on security (working with Public/Private Key, X509 certificates, mTLS).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Lead Engineer - 6+ years of relevant experience in backend engineering, working with the Java based technologies as mentioned above.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven track record in architecting and developing enterprise-level systems.
