The Role:

At Polaris Australia we are seeking for a detailed-oriented and strategic Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This is an on-site position requiring daily in-office presence to collaborate with cross functional teams, provide financial insights, and support critical business decisions. The role involves financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with the ability to translate financial data into clear and actionable insights for leadership.

What you'll be doing:

• Manage and oversee accounts payable and receivable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Monitor vendor payments and invoice approvals
• Ensure timely and accurate billing, collections and reconciliation of customer accounts
• Lead financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions
• Preparation of work papers to support monthly close processes and month-end balance verification
• Active participation on budget and forecast planning
• Analyze financial data and explain variances vs Budget or Forecast
• Maintaining Asset register and expense analysis
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in general ledger accounts
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis
• Support Environmental, Sustainability and Governance reporting

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling and data visualization tools is preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in Financial Analysis, FP&A, or Accounting roles
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft D365 is a plus)
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work across departments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey financial concepts effectively
• Ability to simplify complex financial information for stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Attention to detail, the ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently and agility to meet demands of an evolving business environment.
• Ability to confidently communicate financial information with a range of internal and external (external audit, suppliers) and other stakeholders
