Lead Speech Pathologist (Adult Services) - $90,000 - $120,000 + Super

Are you an experienced Speech Pathologist looking for a chance to step into a leadership role and make a lasting impact in adult care? We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Speech Pathologist to establish and lead an expanding Adult Speech Clinic.

About the Role

  • Lead and manage a dedicated adult therapy service, backed by an established client base, resources, and a supportive leadership team.
  • Deliver high-quality assessment and intervention for clients experiencing communication and swallowing difficulties due to neurological conditions, stroke, brain injury, and degenerative diseases.
  • Enjoy a hybrid clinic and mobile role with a dedicated clinic space, plus outreach to group homes, nursing homes, retirement villages, and hospitals.
  • Work with flexible scheduling and potential work-from-home arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat adult speech, language, fluency, and swallowing disorders using evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans in collaboration with clients, caregivers, and other professionals.
  • Educate clients, families, and community staff on communication strategies and swallowing safety.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
  • Provide training to staff and service providers in group homes and nursing facilities.
  • Build and grow the adult clinic service, collaborating on business development initiatives.
  • Contribute to policy and procedure updates to ensure ongoing quality improvement.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff.

Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology (or equivalent), with SPA membership/CPSP status or eligibility.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with adult populations in clinical, rehab, hospital, or community settings
  • Current Driver’s License and vehicle
