The opportunity

Working closely within our Parks and Natural Resource areas here at Council, we’re seeking a pragmatic individual to be responsible for facilitating and supporting Council volunteer groups to plan and implement works on Council land.

This position partners with Council’s open space volunteers, fostering a positive and rewarding volunteer experience.

• Liaises between volunteers and staff members, facilitating communication and feedback.
• Undertakes onsite support alongside volunteers including site inductions, organising logistics and deliveries.
• Facilitates the development, review and implementation of Agreed Volunteer Action Plans
• This is a permanent opportunity – working full-time 35 hours / week + access to a flexible working arrangement
• Base Salary Range: $70,419 to $82,774 pa based on 35 hours / week + 11.5% superannuation + commuter use vehicle + $2,312 retention allowance
• You will be working from PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or previous experience in volunteer supervision and coordination.
• Knowledge of, or interest in, topics related to the natural environment, sustainability, landscaping and gardening.
• Demonstrated project management, planning, report writing and record keeping skills.
