About the role

Our client based in Condell Park, is a reputable company who specialise in new and used equipment for the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. They are currently seeking a general to join their team. As a General Hand you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment, ensuring a safe and productive work environment. This is a casual/temp position with a possible view to move to a permanent position.

Must be available Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain various types of manufacturing machinery and equipment
• Identify and report any issues or malfunctions to ensure timely repairs and minimal downtime
• Apply protective coatings and paint to machinery
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Communicate with the maintenance team to optimise cleaning schedules and processes
• Maintain and care for cleaning and painting equipment
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to support efficient operations

About you

• Previous experience as a general hand maintaining machinery/equipment or in a similar industrial role advantageous
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Possess good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform physical cleaning tasks
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new cleaning techniques and procedures
• Forklift license is preferred
