HarperLloyd Recruitment is a legal specialist recruitment firm working with private practice firms, and we are looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our client in their central Gold Coast office.

Working alongside the practice group Partners within the Family Law practice group, this role will suit someone who is looking for a role that will allow them to showcase their skills and abilities. The practice group focuses on all aspects of Family Law including Dispute Resolution, Property & Financial settlements, Children & Parenting, Divorce & Separation and Family Violence.

Your duties will include, but not be limited too:

• Drafting Court documents including but not limited to: Application for Consent Orders and Minutes of Consent, Initiating Applications including an Affidavit, Notice of Risk, for Parenting Orders
• Drafting Financial Statements for Property Orders, Divorce Applications, Binding Financial Agreements, Contravention Applications, Subpoenas
• Drafting letters of advice to clients.
• Corresponding with the other side of matters including Super Funds, Independent Children’s Lawyer, psychologists, mediators and any party involved
• Preparing briefs to counsel
• General administration to ensure a matter progresses

About You

• You will have a minimum of 3yrs experience as a Legal Secretary/Paralegal within a Family Law practice group
• Experience with drafting a full suite of family law documents and correspondence will be needed
• You will hold strong organisation and attention to detail, and fantastic communication skills
• This team is always there for one another, so the ideal candidate is one who isn’t afraid to help and support anyone when needed
