Col Smith Garden & Building Supply is a well-established Melbourne based business that has been operating for over four decades. We have 4 branches, Highett, Nunawading, Kew East & Doncaster East. We currently have a casual position available at Highett for a Delivery Driver (MR). The right applicant will have required MR license, a positive attitude, can work in a team and follow direction well. Starting March 2025 .

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Ensuring the correct loads are delivered to the designated customer locations

• Loading/Unloading vehicles

• Reporting to the Logistics & Branch Managers

• Some light general loading as required when not on deliveries or quarry pick-ups

The successful candidate will:

• Possess a valid Victorian MR license at least. Having a Valid HR/HC, a Forklift license, loader experience and a safe overall driving record would also be favorable. Employment will be subject to a Vic Roads points check.

• Have knowledge and experience of loading and unloading side load trucks and rear load trucks

• Have knowledge and experience of safe work practices

• Be physically fit and capable of occasional manual handling

• Be willing and able to take direction

• Possess excellent communication & navigation skills

• Be able to work in a team environment

• Possess a "can do" attitude

• Have a mature outlook

• Be organized and punctual

• A desire to learn and work hard with a full time role being an option in the future based on good performance.

Advantageous but not necessary for the role:

• HR or HC license & specific garden supply experience

• Crane Truck experience & Mechanical Aptitude
