GTS Fire Protection is a locally owned and managed Fire Protection service provider on the Central Coast NSW. We are proud to specialise our services in the aged care industry as well as health care, childcare, industrial, strata and retail.
Our focus and drive is ensuring our customers fire safety systems are in top shape; serviced and maintained with rigour, so they are compliant and can be counted on in the event of a fire emergency.
We aim to deliver a fire protection service from a perspective of genuine care; we treat our customers’ property as if it were our own, with respect for their business, people, and fire systems.
The Role
Due to expansion, we’re looking for someone to join our Fire Systems testing team part-time for 2 days per week (16 hours). Our Fire Systems Tester will move from site to site across our portfolio of customers, checking and testing first attack fire equipment (fire extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, exit & emergency lighting and fire & smoke doors), identifying issues, and carrying out some repairs. The role has the capacity to expand as the business grows.
What we’re looking for:
Our new team member will be someone who can self-motivate to work efficiently solo and as part of a team, takes pride in their work with a high attention to detail and a positive attitude.
Previous experience in the maintenance, service, repair and basic installation of a variety of commercial Fire equipment is favourable.
- Proven ability to achieve targets with a focus on quality
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Strong technical skills with the ability to effectively use a service management app to complete work
- Strong interpersonal skills, along with a positive and can-do attitude
- Excellent time management skills - can work at pace
- A proactive approach to work and can manage multiple tasks to meet daily objectives and deadlines
- A high attention to detail and a strong commitment to completing tasks thoroughly
- Naturally inquisitive with a positive approach to problem solving
- Willingness to learn
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- A general construction induction card (White Card) or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment medical and NSW Police check. Proof of Covid and Flu vaccination may be required to fulfill health client contract requirements.
