About Role:

The Technical Lead would be responsible for uplifting the engineering standards by setting the technical vision for the company. This role involves not only excelling in software engineering but also influencing and guiding the team to implement changes that benefit the entire organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical guidance and set coding standards
• Define technical architecture and design patterns
• Create and maintain documentation on technical systems
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers and Designers to refine tasks
• Perform code reviews and mentor engineers
• Identify and prioritise technical debt
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Align squad goals with organisational objectives and remove blockers
• Maintain clear communication with the Engineering Manager
• Promote a positive, collaborative, inclusive team culture
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, introducing new concepts and practices to the wider Engineering team and codebase
• Plan for future capacity needs considering technical dependencies and skill requirements
• Involved in defining hiring processes

Experience required:

• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer working across the stack.
• Proven track record of delivering reliable, performant, secure, and cost-effective projects in an agile environment.
• Deep/specialised understanding of the technology stack in a few areas, with a broad general knowledge of the complete stack (front-end, back-end, infrastructure - typescript, Angular, Nodejs, Javascript).
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and services (Lambda, EC2, EKS, SQS, RDS)
